Ce Me London and BLAS Fashion Show - Tonight!

Ce Me London have something to be excited about this Monday morning – BLAS! What is BLAS I hear you cry? It stands for Barts and the London Asian Society, and they are unveiling their annual catwalk show this evening, in aid of Diabities UK and the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
BLAS is not like any other Student Union society. It is for all Asian (as well as other) cultures to participate in. They claim to be ‘the best and biggest society at QMUL - PERIOD!’ And they have the credentials to back up this statement, as they have successfully won the Bart’s ‘Best Society’ award for the 2006/2007 academic year, and have raised almost £13,000 and £14,000 in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
Although they embrace the student culture of partying hard, they are proud to do it – as it is all for a good charitable cause – a unique union indeed.
BLAS’s show is called ‘Elegance,’ and promises to be a spectacular night! It is being held in the Sadlers Wells Theatre, Rosebery Avenue – exclusive to say the least! Ce Me London have been lucky enough to team up with the organisers of one of the fashion shows, and loan several fabulous dresses to several beauties!
We can reveal that the theme is ‘Snow White,’ and, we have helped the BLAS models to hand pick several pieces to suit (amongst other things) a modern queen, a princess, and of course, an evil witch! There are sparkles, couture cuts, and colours, created in London, by us, which are set to dominate the show.
We can’t wait to see the BLAS girls strutting their stuff – their hair and make up, we’ve been told, is set to heighten the dramatic element!
The unique thing about fashion shows is the divine mixture of beauty, performance and technical expertise. They are something to be marvelled, a visual sensation. When the show is in aid of a charity (in this case two) the sense of hard work is magnified – as it is truly for a good cause.
