As a manufacturer we get a glimpse of things to come via the wonderful designers that currently lead the way. Last year cobalt blue through to purple was so hot that we all had to have an element of these shades of blue somewhere in our lives, if not close to our body. A colour therapist might say " we needed to communicate more" as the blues signify our need to vocalise what we hold within. Ok I can see you all now running off to your wardrobe to check out what colour dominates your look.
Autumn Winter 09 is shaping up to be the season when black makes a huge come back. I used to think black was all about hiding behind a colour that took off pounds and drew attention away from me rather than towards me - as is the misconstrued perception about colours.
We have been gradually re introduced to this via the array of "greys" that have and are again re surfacing. Not to everyone's liking but hey its here to stay for a while so perhaps we should just accept this as a fashion junki.
I have however noticed our range has been shaping up to resemble "black" as the predominant colour this season. Are we complaining no!!!!!
The range is fab (even if I must say so myself). There are only so many ways you can photograph black but I can assure you every style in black is a winner. It oozes elgance and is amazingly sexy whatever the style, shape, design or fit. The rock chic look seems to have flooded into all areas of fashion with leggings making headway in every colour and fabric imaginable to man.
So what are you waiting for? buy black knowing it is the fashion colour of the year and loved by all the stars. As always Balmain and Alexander wang leading the way.
